Church Sign Insanity: April 2012

In case you can't read the graphic, because it is a bit fuzzy, it reads: "The best way to get even is to forgive and forget." Is the best reason to forgive is so that I can best get even? OR, is it possible, that as Scripture says, the best reason to forgive is because in Christ I've been forgiven much (Ephesians 2:8-10; Romans 5:8; Matthew 6:9-15) ? Vengeance is not mine (Romans 12:19)... I need not EVER seek to "get even". Shameful...
